MADEIRA BEACH - A Tampa woman suffered serious injuries when she was struck by a van on Gulf Boulevard in Madeira Beach.

The woman was not in a crosswalk and was in the median when she was struck by a northbound van. She was transported by Sun Star ambulance to Bayfront Medical Center where she is reportedly in serious condition with multiple injuries including broken ribs.

Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department continues their investigation.

SEMINOLE FIRE RESCUE - Pinellas County Sheriff's Office - Road Rage - 113th Street and 102nd Avenue

PINELLAS COUNTY - Seminole Fire and Rescue and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office responded to a road rage incident that began at 113th Street and Park Boulevard and ended at 113th Street and 102nd Avenue.

One man was airlifted by Bayflight to Bayfront Medical Center with serious injuries.  Three (3) people were arrested, two (2) were charged with felony aggravated battery and the third as was charged with accessory after the fact.

Two car crash in Clearwater injures five people ◊ Gulf to Bay Blvd. ◊ Pinellas County

CLEARWATER - Five people were injured in a two-car crash in Clearwater on Gulf to Bay Blvd. at Lake Drive.  

The injured were taken to the Bayfront Medical Center by helicopter and ambulance with serious injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was taken by ambulance to Morton Plant with injuries described as not life-threatening. 

Witnesses say that the speeding driver caused the crash. The driver of the car refused treatment. 

The investigation is ongoing and investigators have also not yet determined if the children were properly restrained in the vehicle they were riding in.

PINELLAS COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTY in car accident in Seminole ♦ Seminole Blvd at 110th Avenue

SEMINOLE — A deputy sheriff was extricated from his cruiser at the intersection of 110th Avenue and Seminole Boulevard after he was involved in a two car crash. Sunstar EMS transported both drivers to the Bayfront Medical Center with personal injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.

Two Tampa residents critically injured in St. Pete motorcycle accident at I-375 exit ramp

ST. PETERSBURG — Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday on Interstate 375. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver lost control of his control of his 1998 Kawasaki motorcycle just before noon on the Interstate 375 exit ramp.

The driver of the cycle was exiting from northbound Interstate 275, and struck the concrete barrier with the left side of his bike. He and his female passenger both from Tampa were ejected and thrown into a lane of traffic.

Both were wearing helmets and taken to Bayfront Medical Center — Both sustained critical injuries.

TAMPA BAY AREA - A pair of motorcyclists lost their lives this past weekend in two separate accidents. One was a single motorcycle accident where the driver lost control if his motorcycle after hitting a curb and was thrown from his motorcycle. He was transported to Bayfront Medical Center and later died.

The second motorcycle crash was apparently caused by a driver that made a left hand turn in front of the oncoming biker. The biker was also thrown from his cycle. He was transported to Brandon Regional Medical Center and later died due trauma.

Troopers say this crash is under investigation, and that charges are pending.

Pedestrian hit by car while crossing U.S. 19 • Pinellas County • Clearwater • near Largo • FLORIDA

PINELLAS COUNTY -- Police say a pedestrian was seriously hurt after he was hit by a car while crossing U.S. 19 Thursday morning.

According to reports, a pedestrian was crossing U.S. 19 when he was hit by a vehicle, who was driving southbound at the time. Police say the pedestrian’s injuries are life-threatening. The pedestrian was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where he is being treated for his injuries.

The accident happened shortly after 10 a.m. The southbound lanes of U.S. 19 were shut down for several hours.
