HUDSON - Bay News 9 reports that a 65-year-old man was killed while attempting to cross US 19 in a motorized wheelchair in Hudson, Pasco County, Florida. TARPON SPRINGS pedestrian dies after being hit by a car on U.S. 19

PINELLAS COUNTY - A pedestrian pushing a bicycle was hit as she attempted to cross U. S. Hwy 19 just south of Martin Luther King. According to the Tarpon Springs Police Department, the woman was pushing a bicycle across U.S. 19 just south of MLK when a southbound vehicle hit her. The pedestrian was rushed to Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, where she later died.

MULTI-CAR ACCIDENT • US 19 • TAMPA ROAD • FHP • BayFlight • SunStar • EMS on the scene

PALM HARBOR -- A multi vehicle accident on US 19 at Tampa Road has caused quite a back up on this major north / south roadway this morning.

The two northbound lanes were closed by officials at the intersection of U.S. 19 near the intersection of Tampa Road. Some of the vehicles involed have overturned and BayFlight was dispacted to the scene. The victims will be transported to area hospitals. The investigation continues.

No information about the cause of the accident or the identities of those involved has been released. US 19 and Tampa Road is one of the most dangerous intersections in northern Pinellas County and is the scene of multiple accidents each year.
