MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH - Three people injured in Seminole crash

SEMINOLE — Officials said, at least three people were injured in a crash on 113th Street N near the Seminole Post Office.

According the the PCSO, two (2) drivers and a pedestrian were injured when an SUV and a truck pulling a trailer collided on 113th Street.  One of the vehicles was attempting to turn into the Seminole Community Library /St. Petersburg College and the pedestrian was struck by the trailer, which rolled.

All three people were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.

PSTA BUS rearended by landscaping truck on Seminole Blvd - Many passengers injured - Transported by SunStar to local hospitals

SEMINOLE - A Pinellas Suncoast Transit Association (PSTA) bus was rearended by a landscaping truck sending many passengers to local hospitals. The PSTA bus was headed south on Seminole Blvd. (Alt. US 19), stopped to pick up passengers when it was hit from behind by a southbound landscaping truck.

Moments later the scene was filled with several units from the Seminole Fire Rescue, five (5) SunStar ambulances, and a news helicopter flying overhead. Two hours later the flow of traffic on Seminole Blvd. near 102nd Avenue resumed to normal.

City of Seminole - Councilors support new traffic light at Park Street and Burning Tree Drive

SEMINOLE – City of Seminole officials passed a resolution Sept. 3 supporting the installation of a traffic light at the intersection of Park Street and Burning Tree Drive at the entrance to the Seminole Lake community.

According to county officials, the Burning Tree/Park Street intersection was the site of 25 crashes over the past five years and 20 of those accidents were considered avoidable with a traffic signal.
