PINELLAS COUNTY – Twice in a month, a pedestrian has been hit and killed as he tried to cross Roosevelt Boulevard in Pinellas County. The accident happened on Saturday night at about 11 p.m. Law enforcement officials said the man was killed when he was hit by an automobile as he tried to cross Roosevelt Boulevard near 59th Street. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car stopped after the accident.
Officials have not said whether any charges will be filed in the case. The street was closed for several hours while deputies investigated the scene.
