ORLANDO ♦ An Orange County Sheriff's Office deputy is in serious condition after a four-vehicle crash on Florida's Turnpike.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the deputy was conducting an early morning traffic stop when the driver of a SUV veered onto the shoulder of the roadway and hit the patrol car. Upon impact, the SUV then bounced back into traffic and was sideswiped by a semi tractor trailer.
The deputy and the driver of the car that was pulled over were transported to an Orlando hospital with serious injuries.
