PASCO COUNTY ♦ An 8-year-old New Port Richey was attacked by a 5 year-old pit bull mix dog causing serious injuries. The Pasco County Animal Services were called.The boy was taken to a local hospital and received nearly 300 stitches from the attack.
The dog has been turned over to Pasco County Animal Services. Under Florida statute dog owners must resume responsibility for any damages during a non-provoked incident.
